Snow Peak is a high quality and innovative survival and comfort outdoor gear company geared towards campers, hikers, and climbers of all abilities.  The Snow Peak brand originated in the snowy peaks of the infamous Mt. Tanigawa, dubbed "the mountain of death" in Japan's Gunma region (4 times as many people have died on Mt. Tanigawa than on Mt. Everest since the 1930s).  The founder of Snow Peak and great mountaineer Yukiro Yamai, born 1932, was known for his endless pursuit to conquer and tame its deadly peaks and rocky terrain.  It was on these harrowing journeys that Yukiro developed gear that would ensure not only his comfort, but his survival.  His son Tohru, has since expanded and developed Snow Peak's product line to heights his father could only dream.  He expanded it to include such extreme camping and hiking gear as:  Grills, Stoves, Cook Wear, Camping Furniture, Cups & Mugs, Kitchen Gear, and much More!  And not only did he expand it but he kept the tradition held dearly by his father of "by users for users", by staffing a close-knit community of like minded outdoor enthusiasts from through the world.image
