These are amazing. I bought these to prepare for an antelope hunt in NM end of August and and Elk hunt in central Oregon in December. We cover a lot of vertical, side tracking, rut running, and creek crossing all while carrying in our gear or carrying out meat. If you have never worn LOWA boots I would suggest you give them a try. I've owned 4 pairs in the past 3 years ranging from this pair of Hunter GTX EVO Extremes to light Renegade hiking boots. Every pair I have owned have fit well out of the box and are all very durable. Try them and you'll start replacing many of the boots that take many miles to break in.
This is my second pair of Lowa boots. I have a warm weather Banff Pro and love them. So when I needed a waterproof insulated pair I picked the Hunter Gtx. They work for my feet and after only a few days of use I packed out a bull elk and had zero foot issues. The minute i put these bootds on they were amazing ,they needed no breck in at all. Very comfortable on steep shale slopes and great on steep downhills.Cant wait to use these this summer here in Alaska.
