How to line a fishing pole?
Once you have your fishing line around the reel, the next step is to get it through the guides on your fishing pole so that you can start casting. To do this, you take the fishing line and thread it through the guide loop closest to the handle. Continue taking it through each guide all the way to the end of the rod. Then, pull several feet of fishing line past the end of the rod. This gives you plenty of extra line to tie your sinkers, bobber, hook, and lure once you finishing lining the pole.
What is a braided fishing line?
A braided fishing line is a fishing line that has several strands braided together, increasing the tensile strength of the overall line. It is one of the earliest types of fishing line, and it is still a popular choice among some anglers today because it provides excellent knot strength and resistance. Additionally, braided fishing line can be easier to see under the water, so you can better track what you are doing.
What strength fishing line do I need?
The right fishing line strength depends on where you are fishing. For freshwater fishing, you usually don't need a fishing line stronger than 12 pounds, as freshwater fish don't get that big. For saltwater fishing, you'll need up to a 15 pound line for smaller fish species and up to a 20 pound fishing line for the larger fish you can target.
